Due to the Corona Virus, this event has been moved from the original planned May 2020 dates to September 27-October 2.
Join us at the Wild Woman Writing retreat where we will play and work together in the wildness of the Oregon Coast to connect to the messages meant to flow from you. You will have space to hear your inner wisdom. You will have space to plan and build. You will have space to write. And write to your heart’s calling.
We believe in the power of creation and journey, and this is a week to journey to the messages you are being called to share. We will provide you with tools to discover, the magic of being in alignment with flow.
We want to help you give birth to your most important writings to share with the world, and it starts in Oregon.
Over the course of the week, you will have:
- Guided work together to inspire your writing
- Time in wild coastal nature out our back door to spark your connection to Universal wisdom
- Plenty of time to simply put pen to paper, fingers to keyboards
- One-on-one time with Kami and Donna
- Connection with other soul-inspired writers in an intimate week of creation
We believe in cultivating great works of writing, and meaningful story that will shape the lives of many. This isn’t a quick-fix write-a-book-in-a-week approach. We believe great books are birthed over time. What this does provide is a space to cultivate the seeds, and more importantly, create your best writing that is meant to inspire.

About Your Co-Host, Donna Mazzitelli
Donna Mazzitelli, The Word Heartiste, is an award-winning editor and publisher. Having worked with dozens of men and women as a writing coach and editor, she knows that in addition to a skilled and knowledgeable editor, authors benefit from working with someone who uses heart and intuition to help them connect with their core voice. Her gentle, clear guidance and safe, non-critical approach to coaching writers allow people to navigate the places and spaces that can sometimes be difficult to explore.
Donna especially loves working with authors in the genres of memoir/autobiography/biography and personal growth and development. She works in a variety of other genres, including historical fiction, fantasy fiction, health and nutrition, spirituality, death and dying, parenting, adolescent psychology, business, entrepreneurship, as well as children’s books that address social and environmental issues.
In 2013, Donna began Merry Dissonance Press, a book producer/indie publisher of works of transformation, inspiration, exploration, and illumination. As of 2018, Merry Dissonance Press has published 19 books and accumulated more than 35 awards. Donna continues to work on her personal memoir, Mosaic Heart: Pieces of an Unfinished Life, which will be released in 2020.
Our Venue
Part of what makes this week extra special is the Headlands Coastal Spa and Lodge. Every room has a balcony overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Imagine wrapping up in a wool Pendleton blanket watching the whales, and then retreating back into your room with a fireplace to write.
Choose a shared room or a private room. And here's a little secret: private rooms have a large soaking tub which gives you a view of the ocean!
There are plenty of nooks and crannies in the lodge to sneak away for writing, and we'll gather together in their beautiful conference room for shared meetings.
Meals are on your own, so you'll be able to choose from the Lodge's great food, bring your own, or some of the many restaurants nearby.
